Born in Oklahoma to artistic parents, I grew up in the
southwest and settled in Colorado. I now spend time between New Mexico and
Colorado where there is no short supply of primordial landscapes and panoramic
scenery. The inspiration is endless and inspires me to try to capture the
spirit of the natural environment. I have a great appreciation for the unique
culture and history of the southwest. I work in mixed media with an intense
color pallet to reflect those qualities. My dream was to be a commercial
artist. I began working on that dream by attending the Rocky Mountain School
of Art in Denver. I continued my artistic pursuits through various classes
and workshops in graphic art, bead working, jewelry making and photography.
My passion is to create and design. I express that passion by drawing and
painting every day. Surrounding myself with art, animals, nature and music
fosters that passion. The use of computers and technology in art has peaked
my interest in exploring these areas as new artistic media. I hope to inlcude
technology in my artist pallet and pursue the ongoing innovation of art.
