Demetrio Rosa was born in Italy. He began drawing at the
age of five, learning oil in elementary school. He started his art career
at the age of 16. He obtained his art degree at the Academy of Fine Arts
in San Remo, Italy. Most of Rosa's paintings are in loose, impressionist
style, although he captures the elegant formalism of the classical elements
of surrealism and abstraction, never departing entirely from nature. Rosa
has exhibited his work widely in Europe and in the U.S. His paintings have
been acquired for numerous private collections.
