Wyvonnee graduated from Washington School of Art, Port Washington, New York with honors in commercial and fine art. Her travels afforded her the opportunity to study the works of the Old Masters in some of the great museums of Europe. It was while living in Spain, France, Turkey, England and Germany that she developed a love of historical architecture.
After working oils, acrylics, watercolor, pastels and ink, she developed her own technique with permanent color inks. It has become her favorite medium. For the detail in the buildings and historical dress, she uses pens. Then she lays in thin washes of ink over the pen work to achieve the final finish.
She is currently painting Our American Heritage, a collection of Victorian homes and historical buildings. The current series is selected from the Midwestern United States and represents some of the best examples of this architectural period.
Wyvonnee's paintings are her tribute to the past, present, and future generations that will continue to preserve this nation's heritage. It is her wish to share her delight in these paintings with every individual who sees them.
