I enjoy and cherish the ability to share my vision and
feelings with my viewers. When people express emotions they experienced
with my art, I feel that I have reached them, and that is the greatest reward
to me. The most vivid memories I have of my childhood were the many days
I spent painting, sculpting and drawing. My immigration from Ukraine to
the Unites States changed many things for me. I am thankful for the opportunity
to do something I love and be able to express myself in a way that is, I
hope, inspirational to others. Shortly after moving to Chicago, I was introduced
to Leon Oks, an artist whose work has inspired me greatly. I have been taking
art lessons in his studio for several years. Leon has helped me free my
mind and express myself in ways I never thought possible. I am no longer
afraid to use my imagination and feelings in my artwork. Most of my paintings
are done in oil, which is my favorite medium. My love of art brought me
to the beautiful world of graphic design, which I take pleasure in as much
as in fine art. In my career in this field, over the years , I have progressed
from a graphic designer to art director, managing design and production
of a number of monthly magazines.
