David Grigsby paints the houses and neighborhoods of his
native Los Angeles suburbs, transforming their commonplace structures into
images that are both striking and memorable, through his skillful use of
light and dark, color and composition.
Grigsby, whose interest in drawing and painting began
in childhood, had a successful career as a product designer and technical
illustrator, prior to his decision to devote his full-time efforts to the
fine arts. Since then his works have found their way into a number of corporate
and private collections worldwide.
The artist has been affiliated with the Graphic Artist's
Guild and the Orange County Fine Arts Association. He holds a Bachelor of
Arts in painting from California State University, Long Beach.
